  • A minimum cumulative grade percentage average of 60 or 2.0 on 4.0 scale
  • 12 transferable credit hours

Professional programs of study have up to two years or more of prerequisites and may require higher percentages or averages for admission. Please contact your professional program of interest for their admission requirements.

If you have less than one year of college or university-level coursework, you should also request an official high school transcript, be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

If you are currently on probation, have less than a 60 percent (or 2.0), or have been excluded from another college or university, we ask you to wait one calendar year before applying for admission to Wayne State. At the time of application, regular transfer admission requirements must be met.

Required academic credentials

It is imperative that Undergraduate Admissions receives all official, attested or original documents indicating courses taken with final marks, examinations and diplomas/degrees. The information you furnish should be as complete as possible, since additional correspondence will delay the processing of your application.

Additionally, if you have taken any of the examinations listed on the application, it is your responsibility to ensure that the Office of Undergraduate Admissions receives all official scores.

English proficiency requirement
